Anywho, the idea of cross-head tuners sounds weird to me. Looks nice so far though.
It looks like the bass version of the EBMM Axis Super Sport. I played the guitar version..it hangs nicely when playing standing up. So I wonder how this one would do.

the uk site says this regular production model DOES have the mahogany tone block. and the smaller tuners were used to offset any neck dive due to the shorter top horn.

I can't decide whether I like these or not. I think the final point will be actually holding it and playing it. I wonder how the neck dive is with that Les Paul type upper area. Can't really call it a horn. 
I own the 25th (5 string HH). No neck dive. Same pre amp as Bongo but also runs in passive mode. I was under the impression that the production models weren't going to have the mahogany tone block...that was one of the reasons I picked up the 25th rather than waiting for the production model. No problem though, this bass has everything I want in a bass. Its my main ax now...by a long shot.
The HH anniversary is my favorite MM bass by far. Tone chameleon and deeper/warmer than the Bongo.
Yeah, the bongo is basswood with Neodymium pickups and the Anniversary/Reflex are ash and mahogany with ceramic pickups.
I'm dreading to see the price. Like I said the white looks killer and I would love to have one but I already know it's going to be way out of my budget.
It's priced square between "entry level" EBMMs and upper end double pick up + premium finish models. A bit over $1500 but also a bit less than $2K.
Yeah, out of my budget. I'm saving for a new head and a Sterling 5 HH so after that I'm going to need to recover. Unless they make this in a 5 string model at which point it replaces my Sterling purchase.
Just following this up: Has anyone learned of a North American release date for this bass?
AFAIK no date has been announced. The guitar variant is out but EBMM hasn't said much about the one that matters.
It looks like it has the Sterling pickups with a Bongo preamp. The HH variant looks particularly intriguing to me...active/passive, series/parallel, 18v 4-band active EQ, passive tone control...is there any tone that you won't be able to get with that? Other than not being able to blend the pickups, I can't really think of anything else I would change. Plus, they are looking to be a full 1 lb. lighter on average than any other EBMM 5er, except, possibly, for the Bongo. Where do I sign up?
