It’s probably been discussed numerous times…
Coming from 3 decades of maintaining my guitars and doing my own set-ups, I have never strung a bass guitar. Anyway.
My DarkRay came with Super Slinky 45-65-80-100.
Can I put some Regular Slinky on 50-70-85-105? Just want a little more heft.
I’m unsure what the nut is made from? The spec sheet is no help. It looks to be a tight fit for the current set. I don’t want to drop off a guitar for work if I can do it myself.
Will I even have an issue going up .05 (or whatever) per string?
Any help is appreciated. Someone here has done this I’m sure.
