It's an interesting build, but for me an 80lb cab is just crazy heavy. The pair of 1x12 cabs I built weigh in at 21lbs each. Carrying one at a time is extremely easy, and I don't always need both for some gigs.

My BFM Omni-15 only weighs 80lbs, but it's usually too big to bother with: it's about the size of a 6x10 cabinet.

That's right, that is heavy, and I built the subsequent cabs with thinner birch in certain places and more efficient bracing and less lining and they are lighter. The next ones will be better still. There is minimal difference but the first one really thumps.
