Kicked off my bands tour with an out of state "test gig" if you will...
My 2 Aggie cabs, GB Streamliner 900, my pedalboard (Keeley compressor is the main pedal that stays on all the time), EBMM Bongo and Classic Stingray.
First two bands used an old Ampeg 810 powered by an Acoustic amp. Sound was that of speakers ready to blow... not good in any way.
We played and my sound was exactly like I'd want! No knob was turned. No PA support and I didn't need it. Tone, volume, mix was great!!
Last band was from Iceland. Same screaming punk style as the first two bands. Better bass sound by far, compared to first two bands: Ampeg portaflex with Hartke 410 cab. BUT, my sound (to my ears) was the best of the night. Love my rig!
We were the oddball band that night.... older guys playing hard rock with female and male singing vox (not screaming) amongst 3 angry screamo bands. But, we were complimented by all and well received by the audience.
