June 6th- 8th we are heading out of town to record an EP with this awesome guy Brian Beyt, and I am really excited about it! :hyper:

But let me know what you all think of the recording we have at the moment!!

Thanks!

Thanks!
We recorded I49 pretty much when we just started the band... Which was back in November...
Tonight's Another Night was recorded during spring break.
Our drummer has only been drumming for a little over a year now, and you can really tell how far he's progressed between November and March.

When I first heard "Another Night" I tought "yeah man sexy sound going there." Anyways the music sounds fine, not the biggest fan of your vocalist, but then again I've heard a lot singers that sound like yours in crappy bands (not saying yours is crappy by any means) so that may be why. But overall I like the sound.

Thanks for the input. We actually have 3 vocalists in the band (I'm the only who doesn't sing), and each have a very big role in most of the songs, but for some reason the 2 songs that we've recorded unfortunately doesn't show the vocal powerhouse that we really are. Towards the very end of each of those songs you can sorta see a hint of it.
A lot of people tend to think our rhythm guitarist has an amazing voice (the vocals during the chorus of I-49) and that he should be our main vocalist, but we try to do our best and get the most out of each vocalist.

I'd let your current vocalist stay, a little band called U2 has that same situation where Bono was still "finding his voice" you could say, and they wanted Edge to sing instead. I bet if he sticks with it his voice will really develop.

I agree, he just recently turned 18. He's the youngest in the band but by far the most talented. He's our lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and plays keys, and for the most part he's doing all of these at the same time. (You can see that here http://youtube.com/watch?v=UCKhi-3hiYY if you'd like).
All of our songs are written by him acousticly, and we take them to the next level.

Here is a link to his old band if you're interested in how much his voice has developed. He was 16 at the time.
