my band played a show without me?!?!

Ask why. If they don't have a legitimate answer find cooler people to play with. That's like buying a prostitute before asking your wife for some lovin.

Although I'd ask them why. Have you given them any reason to think you weren't dedicated to the band in recent months (canceling practices, complaining about gigging too much, etc...)?

Yeah, make sure you get your stuff. Be classy. Someone in that band may not agree with what's going on, got outvoted, and may be a valuable contact in the future. You might not know which one right away.

Book a fake show and tell them that youll bring your stuff and meet them there because of something you have to take care of before the load in. Dont show up.

TBH, and I don't mean to be mean here, it doesn't sound like "you're band."
Go find another band. If they don't feel like it's necessary to communicate with you, then you don't owe them any courtesy.

Walk away. Don't fight or argue. They've already made their decision and any discussion now isn't going to be constructive, or taken as such. Maybe you can have a beer with them some time and discuss it, but not while emotions are high.
How class-less is that? With people like that I'd be glad to be out of that band and ever other band member should be worried they might get the boot that way too. A band I was once in started a set without me and the song sounded so empty without a Bass player 
I was out in the car charging my camcorder because I'd accidently brought the the car charger and I hear Saturday Night by Elton start without me. I walked in with a *** expression and they and the audience knew I was pissed. Well, I quit (for other reasons too) soon afrer and they still haven't found a Bass player in two months. ha ha ha

i had a band ask me to learn all there songs at home and not ever come to a practice because they wanted to kick there bass player out before the next show, but incase i couldnt get the songs down in time they still wanted him to be able to play the show

No. I go to ever practice and am much better than the bassist they got. Ill probably call them up tomorrow and see whats going on. If they can give me legit reason as to why they got some other guy to play I will stay. Otherwise Ill find another band.
Really? I'd take it as a sign they didn't want me and I'd just move on; no need for conversation, just move on.
Chalk it up in the experience category. Leave with grace and dignity. Group dynamics have been studied for centuries and it's an interesting topic.
I had the same thing happen back in my high school years. I took the time to look around and found another band that was willing to bring me in. You always have options - it's not the end of the world, but sometimes it feels that way at the moment. Anyway, two months later our drummer in the new band moves to another state. We're decimated after having tightened up to where we were. I make a call to the drummer in my old band to see if he knows of anyone. Lest to say he joins us, we get to an even better level. Ironically three months later they drop the drinking age to 18. That almost screwed things up again. They call it group "dynamics" because things are constantly changing.
