My bands free album (Post-rock/Progressive)

Thanks everybody. Wow, did not expect to get so many responses, very honored.

I used a stingray to record most of these songs combined with EB Hybrid Slinkys. I find those strings die pretty fast, but while they are fresh they are amazing and give me exactly the sound i am looking for.

We do put thought into the videos, however they are still secondary to the music. We just come up with a few ideas when the song is done, than either record the footage, buy stock, get some help from friends, or ask permission from people with footage we would like to use. But we don't really like to spend alot of effort/time/money, as that is less money for us to use on writing and recording more songs, which is what we really care about. For the official album we will spend much more effort on the first few videos.

As for the up-coming album, we have already worked out the songs that have made the album, and in about a month the mixing will commence. I think it may be about 75 mins long, and every second of music on it is intentional, we have been very focused on making sure everything is as we intended it to be.

So hopefully it will be completed and out by the end of the year. Than we plan to tour as much as possible, and try and score either a European tour or a American tour, depending on how things go.

It has really been really refreshing to be in project where its all about the creativity, and there is no egos or restriction on the music we make.

Cheers thanks :)

I am really enjoying it. You guys have a lot of creativity.

Now...In the vid you flash "Psalm 51" across the screen, which is a passage that deals with David's prayer for forgiveness after his murder of a man to take his beautiful wife, Bathsheba. With all the gas masks and scenes of violence (particularly war and nukes in the last segment on the laptop), I'm guessing you guys' whole point in the vids and songs is humanity killing its homeworld for the sake of some political or monetary gain (much like David killing an innocent man for his wife) via nuclear holocaust, and that in the scenario of nuclear armageddon, those who didn't die would have very empty lives for sure, effectively making everyone, living or dead "ghosts". Not to mention that a race of creatures such as we that would destroy itself so easily could be called "ghosts" as well, shells of what we used to be.

Brilliant stuff.

OK, Finally got around to listening to the album. The album is amazing.

It is consistent - I don't think a single track is filler. The songs don't drag on with the same riff to the point where they get boring, which I find happens a lot in post-metal. It also helps that the songs themselves are relatively short for Post-metal. I like your approach. The riffs/hooks/melodies are memorable, but the songs work in the context of the album too.

My favourite track would be mast(ə)rē. I really loved the solo section. It was transitioned so well, and it really "absorbed me". Lol. Looking forward to your next release. Keep it up!

Thanks again everybody. We have been making these little videos as we are recording our album, nothing amazing, just little insights into the process, and we just posted the first part of myself recording bass. Here is the link if your interested, the second video which will be out in two more weeks has me talking alot more about my effects and how i use them. Cheers all

Hey Stingray5dude
Just gave We are all ghosts a listen, really like it. I picked up on the themes mentioned by OPBASSMAN1994 above, love a bit of global commentary now and then, intentional or otherwise. Great song. Be sure to let us know when your full album is available (late this year, yeah? looking forward to it!!)

(now if only my internets would co-operate and let me download from mediafire, I'd be a happy bloke.....I don't like to wait.<edit think might be problem at my end w/ mediafire, but was able to get the missing tracks from your soundcloud, happy days!! when extracting the mediafire zip, caused an error on three of the tracks. all good now though>)
Great work, and best of luck in your endeavors.

Hey everyone, hope your well.
We finished recording the next album, which has been really great and enjoyable, and now we are just getting it mixed. The whole process was very organic and natural. Looking to release the album around April/May, and than every song with a music video through out the rest of the year.

Here is about two minutes of music from the studio.
