Try this:

It's real, and somewhere on the Alembic site is a thread detailing what it all does. Most of it involves filters (big surprise), switching in various, high, low, band and (I think) notch filters. Don't remember if it's all on-board or not but I think it is.

I saw this Alembic at a Solstice party I was at yesterday. It's an exact copy of Phil Lesh's Alembic modified Guild bass.

How did it sound? It was fun watching that get built at the Alembic forum. I wonder what he added to it? It didn't have that many knobs when it left Alembic.

I'd agree that that's a knob or two.

Explain what each knob and switch does, I mean if it has a compressor, phaser, reverb, flanger, tube warmth, and chorus, that could be really cool. Oh and somewhere in there add a punch knob. Other wise that's just to much overkill besides the basic push/pull active/passive volume, blend, bass, mid/mid sweep and treble. Awesome Bass, IMO. LOVE THAT BODY STYLE.

I can't believe i'm seeing this, i have always wanted to take a Fender 5-string P-Bass all gloss black headstock too, and put 2 active EMG 40DC humbuckers in the bridge and neck position's and an active EMG P5 in the middle. I bet it whould be the fattest, warmest, punchiest, smoothest sounding Bass on the planet. And I bet yours sounds nice and fat with that what looks like to be a Billy Sheehan neck humbucker, sweet.

Zon Status Standard -- 1 push pull switch, 1 stacked knob, 4 knobs (how are we counting stacked knobs?)
Zon RTK when I get it back today -- 2 push pull switches, 1 stacked knob, 4 knobs
