How does it compare to the Sterling (and Stingray, for that matter)? I always wanted to take a Big Block and drop an MM pickup in it.

The Big Block does not really sound too much like the Sterling. It has more low end but does not have that same Music Man punch. I just had the electronics on the Big Block shielded and grounded recently but the preamp still has some noise. It could also use some fret work, but it's nothing too bad (15th fret of the D). Either way, it's been coming out the most lately and sounds kick ass when paired with a VT

I might just be going through a Precision-style phase though. I love the weight and neck on it. I play all of them though. Well. Maybe not the SX too much. But all of them
