My Blueburst Sadowsky is DONE!!!

Hi Alexander, I've been following this one since you chose the top - I was choosing at the same time.

I think the p/g yes/no and pearl/plain arguments can be put to bed now?

It looks a treat! I hope mine turns out as well as yours.

(makes you wonder what dragon gets up to tho, doesn't it?)

hmmm actually more affrodable than the EBMM BFR. And more obtainable. I thought I had gotten rid of my sadowsky gas (I stopped in last year and tried pretty much every bass they had, I was this close to selling all my gear to get one Sadowsky).
I think the Jazz body looks best with all the acoutrements; pickguard, control plate, bound neck.

Should arrive Friday! Turned out AMAZING - can't wait to get my hands on it!

Specs:

Ash Body with AAA maple top
Bora Blue Burst finish
Vintage style with parchment pickguard
Braz RW board with abalone dots and rolled fingerboard edges
20 fret neck, with 9 inch radius and vintage tint
Single coil pickups
Total weight of 7.45 pounds - WOW!

If that had a matching headstock i would come to your house and rob you....:hiding:

the only thing i would add, is if you look at the mop/pearloid guard on my benavente vintage vortex, a guard like that would really make the quilt on your top just pop!!! the white guard just kind of lays there. an mop/pearloid white guard would be a stone cold groove, my man! congratulations on your stunning sadowsky!

the quilt isn't all broken up like on mine. his quilt looks like undulating waves on some planetary sea......something like what you'd see on one of the moons of jupiter, with some semi-frozen gas sea, like on europa. like if you had a planet or a moon covered in deep, blue liquid mercury and the sea wasn't completely frozen and the waves move gently. definitely couldn't be uranus, because we've all seen that, right? always pink or brown or some shade in between, and there are never waves on uranus. crabs, yes. never waves. but i digress. s**t, i think the purple microdot from '72 is kicking in again. ahhhh, flashback.
all kidding aside, i'm reminded of a mahavishnu john mclaughlin song called "sapphire bullets of pure love". this top should be called "interplanetary sapphire waves of joy" or "sapphire waves of europa." it's ethereal.
