I think I was supportive by suggesting he actually go bigger. Because 6x15. Although in retrospect, he may have an easier job by making 2x 3x15's. It would suck a little less to move. And I used to move a 3x15 regularly.

Well I got my speakers in, like I said I'm building this so I need to still get all the materials but here's the speakers;

I would build one horizontal 4x15, then I'd build the rest of the stage on top of it.

That would be a kick-ass drum riser!

Yeah, the angled baffles and small airspace on those cabs is total suck for bass.

Yep, that was high wattage back in the day. There was an equally large and heavy all tube 200 watt head that was made for it. Pat Quilter recently said he only made 15 of the cabs. It was the very beginning of Qulter Sound Corporation, now QSC.

WOW ! That 2x15 JBL K140s looks just AWESOME ! I own the GK 400-rb as well, therefore I can imagine the killer sound you must be getting trough those speakers !!

The tone IS awesome. Those old 400RBs love 2 15s.

To the OP, full support here on building for pure big sound regardless of portability. > Old School

I dont support what I see as poor ideas. I think there are a multitude of better options to get four 15's on stage, and coming from someones first post, with a gag user name, I am betting this is a troll thread. So I dont think anyone should take any of this seriously.

It would be nice to even see some raw material. That would at least quiet the troops....

Is 'bad ass' louder, bigger or can handle more power, or go lower, or just weighs more?

Well the weight of his speakers come in at a little over 69 lbs. so the total weight could be around the weight of some fridges..........but it would sure make more sense to use Neos. I know I was surprised at the relatively low weight of my Sunn 412 which weighs less than my old Schroeder 410. There hows that for being supportive! If I had money to burn I'd love to load my Sunn with Neos just to try it out. I guess for now I'll just have to muddle along with my Bergs.

That's the plan, I'll also probably start a new feed when it's all done so you guys don't have to scroll through the bull poopie to see it all
