Carl's work is stunning. Well worth the wait.

I love bloodwood,... but am growing to loathe the Lucky Charm smell when you're working with it.

EDIT: I guess I misread the OP,...there is no bloodwood in that bass,...I say it still smells like lucky charms.
 
Congratulations. That’s quite a bass.

You said that “I'm glad that at the end I choose to go for a 36" scale: it's WAY easier to play than every 34" scale I've ever put my hands on.” Is that because the bass is so well crafted that it’s easier to play even though it has a 36" scale, or are you saying that extra neck length has some additional advantage for playability?
