My daughter wants a poodle...

Standard Poodles are great dogs, miniatures are another story.

I have two miniature poodles. They're smart, playful, loyal and a joy to have around. I had great danes for years, and it's nice to have a lap dog again.

Yeah, our miniature poodle is super smart, very trainable, loves to work for us, and he is super loyal. Today I was sick with a migraine and he sat right by me the whole time. He sits in my lap all the time, too. It's a myth that miniatures are all yappy little brat dogs. Just like any dog, if you train them right you have a great pet.

I like most dogs, the little ones included, but they have to be raised the same way you would raise a full size dog.
In other words, they don't get babied, they turn into fun pets; they get their way in everything and their calling card describes their personality!

Dang..the whole purpose of this post was to get folks to see the link above, which is to one of the funniest talk show moments ever. My daughter really does want a poodle, but I doubt she'd let me name it Gainsbourg. I know my wife wouldn't.

That guy is so drunk!

..and I am okay with that idea, with the following conditions:

1. It must be a male;

2. It must be either black or grey so the dirt doesn't show as much; and

3. He must be named either 'Serge' or 'Gainsbourg'. Review the link below to see why this is important:

Name him after me... i am awesome.

And also, when you think of fat huge Russian you always think "poodle".

I hate poodles. And all other little dogs. I do not know why.

Yup. Annoying little dogs can be blamed on the owner. Not the dog.

Standard poodles are awesome, but nothing can touch a labradoodle or a goldendoodle.
