Standard Poodles are great dogs, miniatures are another story.

I have two miniature poodles. They're smart, playful, loyal and a joy to have around. I had great danes for years, and it's nice to have a lap dog again.

Yeah, our miniature poodle is super smart, very trainable, loves to work for us, and he is super loyal. Today I was sick with a migraine and he sat right by me the whole time. He sits in my lap all the time, too. It's a myth that miniatures are all yappy little brat dogs. Just like any dog, if you train them right you have a great pet.

Standard Poodles a great Dogs! Very Athletic,Smart,Sightly independendent.

Be prepare to do some real trianing or more likely than not that dog will rule your house and be a real pain.
