My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

Anything else? I'm not sure if one example of a super high end string really counts towards describing an entire website as "overpriced". Just my opinion, of course.

That's only for strings over $35. I'm almost willing to buy from them to see if they can get strings from NC to NY faster than Jason can get them from CA to NY. I'm guessing probably not.

Those are the strings I use and they're less expensive @ stringsandbeyond and they took about 3 days to arrive in Yorba Linda, CA.

Yorba Linda? You would get them next day... You are less than 50 miles from here.

Every order I process our great county of Los Angeles and the state of CA takes a piece of... Yes not just sales tax but they take a piece of my gross sales.

Support local California businesses!

Could still ship today and you would most likely see tomorrow, not sure what beats that...

It's almost always next day for NorCal, too!

I would like to say that I am really satisfied with the customer service, supersonic response from Jason. My order was a couple sets of DR.Strings and R.Cocco, and the price given was quite good. Last but not least, I got my package safely in estimated time. Keep up the good work, Jason!

What kind of vibe are you after from a pedal? I have played with them all ;)

I've just started figuring out my pedalboard maybe, over the course of this last year. For example, I don't have an envelope filter pedal, so that would probably be an easy first choice, but things like that chorus pedal could easily replace my Boss and free-up some space. I'd like to hear the fuzz, see how the pure boost works, and decide which delay I could get into... Watching the Mooer videos on Youtube it was tough to get a handle on what they actually sound like. I really don't desire effects that hugely color sound, just stuff that I can use in a variety of situations.

...in other words, I've confused the hell out of myself...

:D

I just bought a set of Circle K strings based on Sheldon Dingwall's advice for my Dingwall AB-1 sixer. But only after checking to see if BassStringOnline.com had em. Hey, you never know!

The Circle String site was nowhere near as organized or user friendly. I made it the end and paid by Paypal, the only option available. I'm still waiting for strings, five days later. I intended to try the Circle K's up against the Infeld Super Alloys, by installing part of each set and checking output and feel. Another couple days and the Infelds are going to be pretty broken in, my experiment out the window.

My TI Jazz flats 5 string set cost no more at BassStringsOnline and arrived in two days.

I'm eyeing a pair of those little headstock tuners as my rig has shrunk to where I no longer take a rack with a tuner. The headstock tuner would solve my problem with the MXR M-80 bass di, which sends to FOH even if I mute my amp while tuning. I might just buy one for the guitard who was tuning at full volume at a gig.

I mean, jeez, dude, really? The people at the back of the bar need to hear how out of tune you are? It went on and on.

It is really going to depend on what kind of stuff you play.

They are all good pedals. The bass sweeper lacks some adjustability compared to say the mxr bass envelope.

Boost is mainly for gain, this helps with switching from an active instrument to passive for equal input gain to your pedal board chain.

I definitely hear you. Adjustability would probably be a good thing with a filter. I'm using the effects in a Jazz Fusion ensemble and a couple of original rock bands. This rules out most drive pedals etc.
