This may or may not be accurate information... I am leaving it at that...
But as far as when a manufacturer makes for another maker it does not necessarily mean they are the same strings. I can look at strings and see who made them by the way the windings are, the Sadowsky Blue Labels do not resemble the windings on La Bella rounds.
La Bella's factory makes strings for many companies, this is the same for most string makers... And the companies that have other makers manufacturers make their strings, they go to whoever can get them fastest and cheapest... So "Label A" may have "Maker X" make them one time, and "Maker Y" make them next, using "Material Z" rather than "Material Q" When you purchase "La Bella" you get the same "La Bella" Product every time.
Well, there seems to be a lot of consistency with Sadowsky strings so I'm guessing that Labella may be the only manufacturer for Sadowsky, and also understanding that Roger doesn't like anything with his name on it to be anything but the highest quality, I can understand that. IME and IMO, the more suppliers you use for the same product, the less consistent they will be. That goes with any product. Being an ex-QC guy in the automobile manufacturing field, that's what I've seen in my 11 years of being with a major Japanese auto maker.
