My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

Jason should start a flats buy back program. :D

I haven't posted in here in a while. I'm the starter of the original thread as well as this one. I started this thread because I had never recieved customer service like Jason and his company gave me. I have ordered from several companies, and have nothing bad to say about any of them except 1. However, Bass Strings Online went above and beyond my expectations. Why did I start the 2nd thread? Because the customer service has continued to be exemplary. I will not buy strings from anywhere else. I also have been buying other accessories there like picks, gigbags, straps, and I'm looking to buy an Aguilar head from him as well.

Jason and his company are solid. He's an honest guy, trying to make an honest living, and I actually feel like he cares about me as a consumer.

Just bought some more Balanced XL's (Love them), some more picks, and a Levy's triple leather strap!

Thomastik Infeld - Jazz Flats set of 4

bassstringsonline.com $69.50

stringsandbeyond.com $64.99 free shipping.

THERE!

Thomastik-Infeld is strict on their pricing with "Direct Dealers" like BassStringsOnline.

However, if you are signed up as a VIP the price is $1.12 cheaper when you figure in the reward points savings...

This includes the $4.45 First Class Mail shipping (rather than Parcel Post), usually takes 2 days for delivery.

I am more than happy to apply points to a single transaction if you ask nicely :D

Setting up a VIP account is easy! Just shoot me a PM with the email address you have registered on the site!

Our site does not require an account, so if you want to receive the VIP discounts, put in the comments section of an order that you are a forum member and we will apply the VIP savings to your order and issue a credit or charge your credit card the appropriate amount less to include the discount.

Anything else? I'm not sure if one example of a super high end string really counts towards describing an entire website as "overpriced". Just my opinion, of course.

stringsandbeyond.com $64.99 free shipping.

That's only for strings over $35. I'm almost willing to buy from them to see if they can get strings from NC to NY faster than Jason can get them from CA to NY. I'm guessing probably not.

First of all, thank you for the headache I just got after trying to navigate that atrocious site. Good lord. But, I finally found DR bass strings.

Black Beauty 5 strings are $39 at S&B, $34 at Bass Strings Online.

I'd post more examples, but that other website is impossible to navigate. I hardly call $5 cheaper overpriced.

Any TB user pays 62.55 for those all day any day. I have still not managed to buy new strings, haven't had a bass long enough recently lol, but Jason still treats me like a top customer when I contact him.

And we know he is his own contact with ALL the companies themselves, not wholesalers. This to me is key I think.

On top of that, like was said above, the other sites out there have horrible user experiences. Juststrings, strings and beyond, even circleK have very tedious websites to use. And the two that are not a niche product (circleK) but sell all sorts of strings are not run by a bass player, either.

Stringsandbeyond is a great vendor, I have ordered lots of strings from that site. I agree that it is a nightmare to navigate though.

Since I became aware of bassstringsonline I have ordered from there instead. For the strings I buy BSO has better pricing, even before the reward points. Jason is an active member here which also is a plus. BSO's customer service is great, stringsandbeoynd has great customer service as well.

Both stores are great IME, personally I prefer BSO.

Lot's of good things said in everyone's post. I will agree with the above quoted post. Strings and Beyond is a good site and they were my primary string source before Bass Strings Online and I had no problems them, however I used Bass Strings Online because they had a cable I needed. Jason's company was THAT much better. Even if his prices weren't as competitive, I'd buy from him. His service is THAT good! :)
