My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

Gotta add my two cents to this and say that Bass Strings Online, and the customer service or Jason are both just great. I do a lot of work in the valley and when I called, he refunded my shipping and set it up so I could swing by the office and grab my orders before gigs. Just fantastic. Going to pick up some deep talkin' flats right now :bassist:

Last time I bought something from GC it was a $6 strap. They wanted my name and number, and it took forever for them to figure out how to sell me the strap without linking it to an account. Manager involvement and everything. I let my kids run like monkeys the whole while, so the inconvenience did not go unnoticed.

Unfortunately ran out of stickers again... Thought of holding up orders until more came in but decided the strings were more important...

More will be coming soon though!

You can say that about every "thread" on this website where a product is mentioned...

I never asked the OP to start this or the original thread with over 1000 replies. Many users have chosen to start their own theads as well.

Feel free to posts experiences and ask questions to me in this thread or any thread you would like.

If you notice my posts they are in compliance with the forums "CUP" where I do not link or "sell" any particular product. I will make vague suggestions of certain types of strings but never say one specific thing unless I am specifically asked. I also never post links directly to my site or any other site unless specifically asked about an item.

Alright, fair enough.

Though I'm sure you can understand my suspicions (I.e. Holy blank thants a big thread for strings!). Though I guess that most of these posts are hyperenthusiastic because they want to be sure to get the discount.

It can be a real pain to get strings. I at least try to make it easy to get exactly what users want and quickly.

Even without the discount, it's top notch service. Most other online string dealers I've dealt with couldn't compare on singles pricing either, irregardless of any vip discount. And when I inquired via email about how expensive singles are, the explanation I got was nonsense and they no longer receive any of my business. Jason(owner of BSO) is also very receptive to ways he can improve his website and takes in a lot of input from the community here which also gives him a leg up on most other online retailers.

There are some users here who are quite rabid and almost fanatical about their support for Bass Strings Online. If you look at my posting history you should see I do not go into every string thread and tell people where to buy their strings, so I hope you take this into consideration with the rest of my response.

Yeah that will make you lots of friends around here.

Jason is a HUGE help to this forum, there is nobody here that knows such a large variety of strings as Jason. He provides a wonderful service that nobody else can compete with, and believe it or not..that gets folks excited. So what if they want to post their experiences? Nobody is forcing you to open the thread.

No need to get all frothy at the mouth. He's already explained his reasoning for his thoughts, and apologized.
