My experience with bassstringsonline.com part 2!

I got a bad string in one of the packs in a recent order. I emailed Jason about it and got a reply within 24 hours. A few days later the replacement string arrived directly from the manufacturer.

This is the only place I buy bass strings. Great selection, great prices, and awesome service.

JMO I still say shop around. XXXXXXXXXX, no tax and although their price may be a little higher they still come in net-net cheaper sometimes. I've bought from both and will contiue to shop around.

Please feel free to shop around. But please do take a moment to shoot me an email / PM with a link to where the price is lower, I will respond quickly with a special link for you to use to purchase the same thing at a better price.

I only have to charge tax in California, but I am working on a promo deal for California residence that will offset the amount of tax that has to be paid...

Bottom line is I am here to support everyones Bass Playin' habits. I am always glad to work a deal ;)

No sales tax at BSO either, unless you're in Cali. That's normal for any internet sales.

I've never had a 'bad' experience with Juststrings, but they can't offer that extra level of service that Jason does and their inflated shipping charges offsets any price differences. Plus they just cannot compete with what Jason offers bass players. Just look at the selection of singles and custom sets.

Need strings for your lute or sitar? Go to Juststrings.

What would the shipping charges come to on two hot blondes and a stack of twenties? :hiding: :D

We prefer not to ship cash but we will ship silver, gold, palladium, or platinum bullion or coins.

The blonds sorry we can not transport across state lines due to human trafficking restrictions in our country.

BassStingsOnline is the cheapest price I've seen. Hell, he's price is $5 cheaper then any music store here in New Jersey plus no 7% sale's tax!! :hyper:
The funny thing is I use DR stings and are made right here in New Jersey, so the stings will travel 6,000 miles to get to me...lol :p

Awesome to do business with!

Jason, aka SLaPiNFuNK is top notch! If you haven't purchased strings from him, do so as you wont be disappointed. Plus who has singles in the proper gauges...

It's easy and fast shipping!

Just registered with the site, based -- like everyone else, I guess -- on the positive reviews here.

I've been using mostly Circle K strings for the last year-plus. I dig the balanced feel and the service I've gotten from Skip (including patient and detailed answers to the annoyingly long emails I sent him when making my first forays into six-string bass last year) has been great. They're also the best all-around strings I've ever had on my four-string P/J. I like the company and will continue to use them.

I also like flatwound strings -- at least, I'm finding that I like them with certain instruments, in certain applications. I have a fretless Squier P-bass that does wonders with a cheap set of Webstrings flats (first flats I ever bought -- slightly thuddy E is my only complaint) and a Brubaker Brute with Bart pickups that sings with TI jazz flats (magic on that bass) where it choked on D'Addario half rounds.

I'm looking into trying different flats with three other basses currently strung with rounds and half-rounds. When I figure out which strings to try, I'll place an order with BSO.

Is this thread a good place to ask specific questions along those lines, or is that better done in a separate thread?

You could ask specific questions directed to me in this thread if you would like... Ex... Jason, what string is best for me? etc...

For fastest response it is best to send me a personal message or email through the website.

THANKS!
