My First Song :)

Hello! I started playing the bass about six months ago, and just finished writing and recording my first song. This site has been invaluable in giving me great, practical advice on everything from technique to effects to recording equipment.

Let me know what you think -- and bear in mind, again, that this is my first song For the two brief bass solos, I ran my BB414 through a Clone Theory pedal a la one of my heroes, Peter Hook, to get a flavor for his trademark sound.

Oh SNAP! Someone from the Ninety-one sixes. lol. Not too bad. I'm assuming you did the guitar drums and vocals yourself, right?

Thanks bassman. Yeah, I was a one man show. Did the drums using Session Drummer2 on Sonar, sang it (with my very limited vocal capabilities), plugged my $100 Squier Bullet in for the rhythm guitar and then unplugged it and recorded into a mic for the acoustic.

Nice to have the first one done with.

Well, Its not like I love it but Im a begginer so thats what I get I think im going to get a warwick later

You might want to try and transpose it up a couple steps so you can be able to hit those lower notes.

Right away it reminded me of one of my favorite bands THE CHURCH...I found it a bit slow and the timing was all over the place but I felt it and dug it.
