So as long as wenge doesnt take away bite im fine. From what he says im guessing it just rounds out a bit of the harsh treble bite of maple?
The Wenge still provides plenty of bite and attack! As you mentioned, the harshness of the Maple is smoothed out a bit with the Wenge, and as Sean mentioned, the upper mids are enhanced. It's a great fretboard wood to use with the Roscoes, especially with the Demeter preamp.
