Hey Jim,

A couple of questions for you...

Was that a piezo tweeter a regular dome tweet you popped in?

Did you add an X-over circuit? I see what appears to be an attenuator knob or L-Pad knob back there.
If so, did you build it or buy it?

Where did you buy the plate, electronic components, casters and handles?

Curious minds want to know!!

I had an old first generation Avatar B210 that I sacrificed for parts. The tweet and L-pad with crossover came from there. I wasn't really sure it was going to work so I tested it out of the cabinet first before I cut the hole. Can't tell you much about the driver and x-over but I bet Dave from Avatar could. Frankly, for the music I play, I don't really need the horn at all, but since I had it I thought I'd use it. Casters and handles all came from Parts Express. The corners I had lying around. I was going to order a full metal grill but I had some xtra speaker cloth left over so I made a temporary cover out of that...as you can see it's still on... hope this helps

After a little finagling and looking at your box cutting diagram I estimated the box volume less the ports and another 5% less for the handles and whatnot at around 3.8 cu ft, very close to the one I built. Not surprising because my cab had almost the same dimensions as yours. OTOH I used 3 x3" diameter ports about 6" long.

With your slotted with 2 x 13.5 x2.5 a box tuning of 50hz runs about a 9" port length unless I screwed up the math which is close to what yours looks like. Fiddling with the calculator showed blocking 2 of the 6 ports changed the tuning to 43 or so hertz. That's almost exactly the profile of the box BFM helped me with. You might tack on a cover on 2 of them and see what you think.

And that box slams!!! So I'm not surprised this one does. The cutting diagram of yours is a perfect fit for my old one and getting rid of the MDF and using the neos would drop around 25 - 30 lbs on mine. Thus my interest!

As far as sound goes, it's a bit mid forward, very loud and very punchy. Not as deep as my Fearfuls but doesn't fart out like they do.

Farting out Fearfuls with a shuttlemax? Is it the amp or speaker?

It's the speaker.. those 3015's don't seem t like much below 40hz. I've built 3 GB cabs and they all crap out on the B string of my Modulus with a just a bit of bass boost.

Interesting...I've bridged stout poweramps into my 3015LF based boxes with no issues at occasional clipping. Probably different basses, style, technique, etc.
