V/T for each pickup. Tone is cool though. Can boost or cut +5 or -5. Bottom switch is a 3-way pickup selector. Top switch is a "compression" switch. I don't know how it works, but middle is unaffected. Forward is compressed. Backward is open. Backward sounds absolutely huge and awesome... By itself, anyway. I'll have to see how it sounds in the band mix.

I think it's neck vol/bridge vol/global treble/global bass on the knobs, and the top switch is: forward = Bright mode, middle = nothing, back = comp on the neck/expander on the bridge.

I honestly have no idea. I googled it, read it, said "whatever", and when I played it I figured out what sounded good.

Can't wait to get it back for a real test-drive through the SVT.

okay, then what I said is correct.

Try the top switch in the back position, neck pickup only. That's the comp mode....the attack can be adjusted with the trim pot in the back.
Now try the top switch in the back position, bridge pickup only. That's expansion

Glad it worked out for you I got what I thought was my 'holy grail' bass just last week, and I ended up sending it back because it wasn't what I hoped for.
