For some reason I am reminded of the old SNL skit where the guy bragged he was so broke as a kid he actually made a Rolex watch out of a rock and stick. Yep.I remember hearing in science class that every physical thing is a mass of buzzing/shaking/moving (however you want to describe it) atoms. Which leads to the theory of "freezing" atoms and creating an immovable, unbreakable object (or perhaps something like a forcefield). If I was a scientist I would try to make this a reality with.... basses. Think about it, you could get the neck/action/set up right where you want it and freeze it forever. One could make their bass unbreakable, and totally resistant to any type of aging (now we're really done changing strings lol).
I, of course, have absolutely no idea how this would be done. I'm curious if anyone here has any actual knowledge of physics or any other sciences that would be a part of something like this. All are free to weigh in on this craziness though, so let me know what you think... unless it involves counseling![]()

This is my first talkbass post lol. So, something like this might be possible, but would probably be more in the realm of nano-technology. Maybe a programmable wood that keeps its exact density regardless of temperature. Obviously we have one foot in the realm of sci-fi here, but its good to dream!
I'm gonna need more pay for this gig.This right here. The movement of atoms is directly a factor of their temperature. Go to absolute zero and they stop, except they don't really because there would still be random quantum movements even at absolute zero.

Liquid N2 sure, but hydrogen (H2) becomes a liquid below 33°K, that is still far from absolute zero, but much closer than LN2.
