Yes, I decided to stay with passive since I dig the whole "vintage" sound. If I want active, i've got my Warwick.
That is a monster. Y'know, I bet a single-coil P shifted toward the neck sounds great. Vewy intewesting.
I can't stop adding more, she's a monster!!! I just added (thanks to El Rayo Guitar Works in San Diego) The telecaster pickup. She sounds dope, I get to try her out for real this Sunday at the Whiskey A Go Go. I'll let you know how it sounds. Right now, I'm super impressed just listening through my practice amp.
That looks a good bit like my boy's Guitar Hero guitar.

From what I understand, sometimes with Fender quality control issues, the Guitar cotroller might last longer and have a higher resale value in 20 years.

Really good, I have a clip of me playing it at the Whiskey but the sound on the recording is super-treble. Booooo!!!

Great idea. Nice trio of pickups, you cover damn near all of the vintage Fender tones in one bass.
You can fit another one or two jazz pickups in easy.
while we're at it, let's try to squeeze in an MM just to shake things up a bit.
