I paid $5K for the 4 string Alembic Series I and around $6K for the 5 string Alembic Series II.........In the same week! (It was a helluva bonus year)

I could sell either for more than I paid for them today. I have no plans to sell either anytime soon. I'll be playing the 5 string at church tomorrow.

My Alembic Stanley Clarke Brown Bass... these two together cost me over $15,000 Then behind these in price are my other CTs, Spellbinders (2of which were owned by Stanley Clarke #3,#4), Fodera, Ritter,Warrior and others... other crazy gas attacks... A Ritter and Ken Smith bought the same day , on another day bought a Dingwall and F bass,,,, and in one week bought the Alembic brown bass on Tues and a ribbecke hafling on thur,,,plus this doesnt include my 15 Birdsongs over the past couple years!!! Talk about GAS !!!

The most expensive bass I've ever bought was a Pedulla Pentabuzz because I made the horrible mistake of buying it new. On the other hand, I got $1200 off it with my BC Rich trade in, so in strict cash put out, either of my (relatively soon to be) Carl Thompsons win at $5500 for the pair.

...I'm only half proud of that.

My Cirrus I traded in a few other basses I had. The price I got it for was $800, only had to make up $120 in difference from trades. With options from peavey would be about $2600 + another close to $300 for everything from Audere that came with it. Going to refinish as the poly has seen better days.
