My new Aerodyne arrived!!!!

Hey guys,

So today my dad sent me a picture of my new aerodyne that finally arrived (SRG - Ltd edition gold model). I haven't had a chance to play it yet but will get back to you when i do.

So anyways, one thing I noticed about this bass was the pickguard. Its meant to have a black pickguard but it shipped with a white one. I have to say, I much prefer white over black on the gold body so I guess that was just a lucky mistake . What do you guys think?

Gold is usually too flashy but I loved how it looked on the aerodyne. And as for the pickguard, I think the black one clashed with the black pickups whereas the white one stands out as it's own thing.

The matching headstock is beautiful as well . But yeah, why do you think they made it with a black pickguard in the first place? Do you think they were going for an 'expensive' sort of look?

I think this is a great looking axe.

The white pick guard works for me. The gold works for me. The body shape works for me. It seems there's a bit of trim around the edges that sets it off and looks great. I'm sure this bass will make you happy! Thanks for sharing your good news.

Never seen the gold one. I've been mini-gassing for an Aerodyne for a while, and I dont' have a P/J.

They Japanese ones with dot markers, no paint on back of neck, pick guards, and binding look so much better than the US ones IMO.
I wonder why Fender USA doesn't offer this features here?

Haha believe it or not it was cheaper to import the bass than to buy it new in the UK. Because of that I decided to order the import version .
