I wanted them spaced apart. I thought it looked better visually. The pups don't have to be in the bass. Maybe they're like the pair of pups I have in sitting on my work bench waiting to be installed in something.

The picture I used for reference was from the fender drawings and even then, there was a little gap.

I blew this diagram up 300% and the gap in the drawing became more pronounced. At that point we played with the spacing and I settled on this. As I said earlier in the thread, I was worried about it being accurate for about 5 seconds but then I didn't care anymore.

Maybe I'll add some leads and pots and it'll look like a pre-wired harness waiting ot be installed

Hmm. I kinda like that.

either way its the same ****.. we all know what it is no need to question..

if it were me id have them side by side not like that but different
strokes for different folks!!

i always considered tattoos but road rash and bruises are enough to me (god love 2 wheels)

Hey, as a bass player that has a few tat's myself, I think it is cool as can be. It's original, it's different, and it's creative...not the same old same old. When another player sees it on you out someplace, you know they're gonna say something, so it is a great conversation starter, and if they don't know what it is, and have to ask, you know they're too boring to talk to anyway, right???

As a fellow two-wheeler, I think tattoos and road rash complement each other quite well. After I added some nice scews and a titanium plate, thanks to a ornery deer, and I feel like I really have MY look.:D

I actually have a nice patch of rash on my side that kinda reminded me of the hard patch of skin on a badger's butt. I was thinking about getting a badger tattoo around it.

As previously posted,tattoos are very addictive,for some people.Evey single tattoo I have is bass related(And yes,I'm proud to say,I do not have a bass clef!!)I've got over $600.00 invested in a 1/4 sleeve of Iron Maiden's mascot,"Eddie,"playing a Spector(my dream bass) bass.The detail in it is absolutely incredible.Looking back,I wish I'd spent that money on gear.I just always make sure when I get one that it's not exposed when I wear a short-sleeve shirt,so I can look "presentable"at work.My job is blue-collar as it gets.But,I'm shooting for a bossing job.

I wonder if you could actually mount pups apart like that?You may have started a trend,in the way P-Bass pups are positioned on basses.
