New to this site, thanks for admission. So, I bought these two used a week apart and I have some observations. The one on the left is a BA115 and the one on the right is a BA210. They sound very similar even though the power output is much greater for the 210, I don't notice it much. Perhaps at peak volume levels I would. The 210 has a top mounted internal cooling fan and an external speaker jack on the rear, neither of which the 115 has. There is a high frequency (HF) mute button on the front panel of each, but I don't notice any difference in sound for either amp when I engage it. I'm wondering if the piezo driver is not working on both! Anyway I plan to use the 115 for rehearsals and small gigs and the 210 if I play a larger venue or outdoors. I think I did pretty good at $350 for both.

If the BA 210 has an external speaker jack, the power rating is given for 4 ohm (with an external speaker), so the power with just the internal speaker is only half of it (roughly).

Even if @ 8 ohm the BA 210 is almost twice the power of the BA 115, twice the power only makes a 3 db difference.
You will probably never hear a volume difference until you push them to their limits, or if you connect the BA 115 to an external cab.

Good score. I'm a fan of the BAv2 Ampeg combos. I have the baby brother, BA110v2.

I gig with a BA210 pretty often if backline is not provided. They are good small/medium gig-able amps.

It's been solid. Even playing with a loud rock drummer. The HF definitely does something on mine. The tweeter is a commonly cited weak point, so it's possible they're broken or disconnected. Mine still works. It's probably 7 years old.

The only drawback with the BA210 for me has been the DI out is affected by master volume- which is common on some amps. I tend to put a DI or the like on my board because of that. I hate tweaking something and having it potentially dramatically affect front of house.

Per the manual, the BA115 does not have an extension speaker output.

Great amps, I have the same pair. I keep the 115 at the band rehearsal space and use the 210 in my studio and for gigs. I picked up a used Porta Flex PF210 cab and depending on the gig size I can switch between a 2x10 @ 283w or a 4x10 @ 450w. I really love the built in DI circuit, works great both live or the studio (in the studio I use a 1/8" to 1/4" headphone adapter to mute the power section and record with the DI only). The one thing that I've found really brings these amps to life with my basses (Fender P and J, passive) is an MXR 10 band EQ (I also have an optical compressor on my board, adds a bit but not like the EQ. Cleans up those boomy tones). I do find the BA210 has a bit more punch than the 115, at the same time I think the 115 might moves a little more air.

I have tried the daisy chain setup and was not impressed, I like them better as standalone units. They are designed to be used that way, and the circuitry uses both speakers and a single set of controls. I've had my 115v2 for over 10 years now, and bought the 210v2 on clearance when the Rocket series came out. They are great little workhorses, and have the wedge option which is pretty unique. I'm older so I installed the rollers, and you can't beat the quality of the Ampeg covers for the price (and the same cover fits either model).

Lovely and very robust amps in my book, you got a super deal.

I use an Ampeg BA 110 on top of my Ampeg RB 112 and by connecting them in send from the 110 to return in the 112, I can use them simultaneously and it sounds great with good power. I guess you can do the same with yours and if so, you will have a monster sound.

If you think the tweeter is dead, use EQ to cut everything but highs to test properly. If you have a guitar, you could plug that in to test.

Don't go spraying anything into any part of an amp, that's a quick way to additional problems. I don't care what the internet "experts" say, I see the results of such DIY attempts and it's both messy and costly to correct (properly).

Try the amp with a full range signal into the aux input, that's a big part of what the HF mute switch is provided... the HF is pretty necessary for aux in applications. If it works with that, there;'s nothing wrong.
