I'm absolutely loving the Kramer era white NS2, and it's mellowed white finish. And old white one is what I've had gas pains for a while now. Love the cherryburst PreKramer also.

Fantastic collection! Although I'm surprised to see the lack of an NS1. If you can get your hands on one, I HIGHLY recommend them! Here's mine.
Back in the 1980's, I saw cameo with Aaron Mills on bass. He had an NS1, and it had an amazing slap tone. You guys at TB, probably think I like everything, but I am a huge Spector fan.

There's a guy on here somewhere with about 20 basses, all of which are Guilds.
And someone named Bflat that shows up here infrequently owns five original '51 Precisions.
But this dude's Spector collection is still pretty sick. My favorite is the Thunderbird-looking one.
Very nice basses but I don't understand why people buy so many of the same model bass just in different colors. You see the same thing on the EB forum. Some dude has like 60 Sting Rays or something. Yeah, I understand Spector/Ernie Ball/whoever else makes great instruments and I'd love to own one, but I'd also love to own a couple different Lakland models, a couple Warwicks, a G&L, a Parker, a Sadowski, etc.
Not trying to rip on you or anything but if I was going to buy that many basses, my first goal would be getting all the distinct sounds covered. I guess I just don't understand the mindset.

I doubt if I would ever have that many of the same thing, but so what? Cetera seems to be happy with his collection so I am happy for him.

I used to have a 5 string Euro in Black Cherry but, lovely as it was, I simply didn't play it very often.....

Now that's what I call a bass collection... I'm going to have to get me one of these spectors at some point, they look lovely

No offence taken.... and actually most of them have subtle or significant differences.....
e.g. the plum Spector has an Aguilar preamp and is solid maple. The natural Spector has a maple top but alder back and an 18v Tonepump preamp. The cherry pre-Kramer has an original Hazlab preamp and the blue Spector has a Spector preamp. The SB1 has a Dimarzio humbucker and is made of Walnut with a cherrywood/maple neck.
They each have their own character and tonal differences. It's NOT just a case of different colours though I obviously enjoy the visual impact of them....
I have also covered the other tonal bases you refer to by having in my collection Fender P's and J's, a couple of Wals, Hamer, Jackson, Pedulla and Peaveys.....
