My Squire P pickups

I sent my bass to a friend to do some work on the inside wires...well lol when I got my ish back the knobs were somehow reversed
My volume knob became my second and is also reversed meaning I have to turn it the opposite way to turn my volume up.
And the front knob is loose doesn't even stop anymore just keeps on turning,but If you turn too far the volume gets very low..
When I continue to turn it cuts back in..
What is the problem and how do I fix it.
If anyone can walk me thru the directions

he put the pots in backwards flip them around so the little 3 ends are pointed towards the bridge.

Looks like he may have also reversed the r and e on your headstock.
