Double Bass My Story -- Everybody has one

I started out on electric, an old Kay, when I was 13. I occasionaly played upright but never was able to own one till when the Palatino EUB came out. I did alot of research before I ordered one and did a few modifications before even playing it. I'm now pre and post employed and a few months ago I got a Cecilio upright new for 499.99 with free shipping. All I could possibly afford. I filed the nut, installed new strings, and lucked up and found a non-adjustable bridge that fits perfectly and I'm very happy with it. You can't save up to get a better bass with no income and I'd rather be playing than looking at and longing for something better. If it falls apart in a couple years, then I've got the privilage of playing upright cheaply for that amount of time. In my situation, it was the best solution for me.
