My take on a custom "P-Bass"

Its interesting, I don't have a traditional P type instrument in the house, so I don't have something to do a direct A/B with. The sounds is definitely P like, but it has its own character. Tom's bass is most certainly the most aggressive P bass you have ever heard.
Of course I had the idea that I was going to fly this home with me, but I realized that this wasn't going to work out, so its shipping to me tomorrow. It would have been real nice to play it all day today since I have the day off, but I shall have to settle for my other Skjold until I go to Wilco tonigh.

I may be able to do that. I think I am going to trade in my Digi 002 on a 003, and once I get it all set up, I should be in good shape for recording some clips.

Well, I do have a Fender P-Bass (hot-rodded by Jack Read), an American Deluxe Precision 5, a Celinder P-Update 5, a Celinder Vintage Precision 4 (en route), and a Sadowsky P/J 5, so I kinda have the P-bass angle covered a couple times over. Though that '82 Walnut Precision Special is calling...
I think youy are missing a 51-55 P, I just got a Sadowsky original P and man that is pure P HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!
I just had a custom P made and received it on Monday last week. Some of the lines differ slightly from a Fender P but it looks the same at a glance. The body is ash, flamed maple neck and an Rosewood fretboard. It rocks a badass style bridge and P&J Seymour Duncan QP.
This bass has an great tone and an awesome presence in the mix. Even unplugged it is fairly loud.
