    hi folks,
i purchased this bass tech amp by bass technologies, years ago from a local music store. they could not find any information back then on the net so it was priced crazy low.
it is an incredible combo amp with a bunch of features and sounds great.
every once in a while through the years i check online for any info on it and/or the company. to this day i still have not come up with anything.
now i’m turning to you guys hoping to find answers about this mysterious amp.
    so, any ideas?
    thanks everyone!

Yeah, especially with that big "made in usa" label on it. Those overseas people will say anything to sell a product.

This will be interesting. I haven't seen a case this crowd couldn't crack yet.

Suggest you change the post title to something like "Bass Tech amp by Bass Technologies Inc - heard of them" since if AH hasn't come across them they must be seriously obscure so a specific thread title will help. Beyond that I haven't heard of them either!

  9. It looks like a plate amp installed into a speaker cabinet.

looks like a sub woofer from the 90s homes surround sytem

  13. I bet it’s something older that was imported before we posted everything on the internet. Probably made in Usa Japan. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad amp. Could be awesome!

This says a lot as the old horse has seen a lot of amps. A whole lot of amps. A unicorn?

  16. What speaker does it have?

  17. Looks like a handmade by qualified hobbyist. I wouldn’t say “boutique”, but I can imagine first SWR amps made in Steve’s garage looked like this :)

That “Made In USA” label looks like a knockoff. Note the lack of any regulatory agency markings. I sometimes see similar looking products sold in car audio shops.

There have been so many one and done bass amplifiers there are too many to count. For a short time Martin Clevenger sold a bass amp that had a name similar to this one.
