Mystery Bass

I found a wonderful used instrument but cannot get any information on it from the company or online so far. Looking for anyone else who has seen or owned one.

It is a LEGATOR Hello five string multiscale bass. It is a natural wood body, maple neck,
Babicz bridge, active bass. I like it because the string lengths go from 35" to 33.5 inch, almost a short scale five string.

The company representative had not heard of it and said it was probably manufactured in a Southern CA facility the company no longer used.

Anyone else run into one of these? I would love to know the type of pickup and preamp.
Any help would be appreciated.

That's the four string model. Thanks for the info.

The 5-string model number is HFB5-300, but looks like most of the hits are Asian. An old Reverb listing - price indicates made in Korea (like many of their other models).

That may be but the information about Legator Guitars I found was that their original products were manufactured starting in 2012 in Southern California. I see now they import some Japanese product to sell.

Yes, it appears their FGN line comes from Japan. Does yours say it's made in the US?

Yes, you"re right, apparently it's their own brand. Looks like Legator markets them in the US?
