N(G)BD!

Oh for christsake...just insure it for peanuts and rest easy.

I went to college (in 1990) with a MIJ Tele from the early 80s and a 1940s Gibson acoustic archtop and nothing ever happened.

Instruments are meant to be enjoyed. Don't live in too much fear and have a good time.

Very nice! Been gassing for a hollow/semi-hollow lately myself. Enjoy college, but don't lose focus. Loss of focus at that level can affect the rest of your life. My wife and I have almost paid off her college loans for a degree she'll never use. :rollno:

Thank you very much! I suggest getting a hollow body/semi-hollow...very cool.

And your advice has been noted; I'm aware that this education is costing my parents a boatload of money (my fault for deciding to going out of state...), and I intend on making the most of the opportunity. Which is not to say I won't be having some fun (;)), but I'm well aware that the primary goal of college is to get an education and prepare for your career.
