Out with the old; In with the new;
Well I tried to keep the 1st Fiver, but it's just not for me. Maybe with time I'd like it more. I took the Ibanez to band practice and it sounded lost in the band mix. Weird because both my Fender J-basses don"t sound lost, maybe the difference between active and passive pickups? To flat and wide of a neck. Worst of all I was lost playing it. I didn't think it would be such confusion for my fingers, but I was on the wrong string way to often, just lost. I loved playing it solo but it wasn't meant to be. A great bass but not for me. So I returned it and got the full amount back.
I found this sweet P-bass body with a jazz bass neck (thanks BK) and wahlah, the best of both worlds. A wonderful feeling J-neck and a beautiful sounding p-bass pickup, a Pino bass for way less $$. Took it to band practice and it sounded great, played great, heck I think it looked great.
Fickle yes, but that's GAS.
