NAD...Ampeg PF20T.

OK, so here is a pic of my new Ampeg PF20T paired with a Fender Rumble 115 Cab.

Running my Player P with Jazz neck and PV '63 pups, the delicious sound of a tube tube amp took me back the the '60s when I performed with a '68 Telecaster Bass, Dynaco 60 w tube amp and two JBL D140Fs in a sealed enclosure.

To quote the Parliaments in the tune "Testify", the sound was "Delicious". The sound duplicated perfectly, my '60s bass experience.

I am a very happy "old" camper and look forward to re-recording all the great tunes from back then, in my studio. I hope to share some of those with you.

In the meantime, I am exploring all the options with running everything through the Scarlett DI, including micing the cab.

What a trip down memory lane. To quote an old phrase, "I am Stoked"!...Jim

So far, so good. Tomorrow I will experiment with the volume but, I have to be careful. My wife, unfortunately, does not like loud bass. I think it will be great for the studio and maybe beyond. I will let you know but, I cannot afford another divorce ;).

My Studio 40 at less than 1/2 volume was more than ample to send her around the bend so, I think this will be just as "good" :laugh:!

Congrats is very much in order, SR, the pic looks great! I think you’ll find your new rig just what the bass player ordered!

Yep, get to some righteous recordings of your favorite tunes and let us know your first impressions.

Boy, am I glad you chose the Ampeg over the Blackstar Fly rig you were comparing to prior to the purchase! :hyper:

I just got one last Friday. I also have a fender rumble 115 cab. I also have a rumble 210 cab I’m going to try it with as well
