Yep, I bought that one.....the one in NC that has been taunting me for months.
First off, Peter ( @BASSKADET ) is just a good guy. I could have hung out with the guy all day talking about bass and other stuff we share interests in. And he lives in a BEAUTIFUL area. Thanks, Pete!
Now, to the rig.
It's in incredible shape. That big glass in the back is just pure sex to us bass nerds. The head looks like it came out of the box yesterday. No crackling pots. No popping switches. Just SVT gloriousness.
The cab. It's bulky and heavy for sure. But here's the thing. It is NOT the muddy mess I read about in reviews. Granted, my tone is slightly bright. So others who run a more thuddy tone might struggle with this cab. But it's fine for me. To be sealed it moves a ton of air. I played it and a Heritage fridge at his house before leaving with the rig. The 412 had a little looser and bigger lows, but certainly not too loose. The Heritage would get louder for sure. You can just feel that it wants to get loud. But this 412 will hold its own volume wise. I'll take it to a rehearsal next week so I can open it up a little more.

I know the 412 is a bit of a mystery. So eventually I plan to give it its own thread. I'll take the grill off and probably pop out a speaker or two and do some guts shots. Feel free to ask any questions you want and I'll try to answer them. There doesn't seem to be a ton of information out there about them, so as a public service I'll share anything I can.
