Hi Bake. A quick Google search pointed me to an old Talkbass Classifieds ad (FS: YORKVILLE BETA 150 EQ POWER AMP), where it says that the maker is a certain "Yorkville". Another Google search took me here: FS: YORKVILLE BETA 150 EQ POWER AMP. User Gravity said:

They were some of the first ones I ever used for sure. They were no EAWs but they sounded good for the cost, and you literally could not kill them. The three most popular cabs that I used were these little 1x10 w horn, 1x15 w/ horn (EX401 i think) and the EX2000, 2x15/horn. They had some single 18" subs that kicked pretty hard too. I frequently used the a pair of EX2000s and a quad of the 18" subs for smaller outdoor gigs, and they were plenty loud enough to do a football feild (and get noise complaints!)
The new stuff is really good though. A bar i used to play and mix at used a quad of the TX4s with a pair of the TX9s using a Midas Venice and Yorkville power amps and the system really kicked. It was sometimes a LITTLE heavy in the 2-5khz range, but a bit of system EQ would take care of that. My experience was that they alwasy sounded great.
I'm also a HUGE fan of thier small studio monitors. I'm actually sitting in front of a pair of YSM-2ps right now that I've rented to do wome work away from my main rig. They sound great and very detailed in the midrange. My first pair of studio monitors was the first generation passive YSM-1 and they were great. A lot of guys up here use them in place of NS-10s because you get all of the transfer with none of the ear fatigue. The Invalid Link Removed and YSM-1p are great speakers for the cash, and they really kick in the low end considering thier size. The powered sub that mates with the YSM-1ps kicks REALLY hard. Really hits you in the chest.
The NX series stuff, is pretty good, I've used them to play a gig and I ran my bass direct into the 1x12 powered speakers and they had enough low bass to cover a wedding reception without farting out. I was impressed.
I've actually had a chance to visit the factory in pickering (everything yorkville branded is made in canada) and I've got to tell you its a slick, high-tech operation they've got going on there. I've got much respect for them and thier products.
Add to that a 2 year unlimited 'even if you break it' warranty on all thier products, and really, you can't beat them for value.

That's a steal for any working poweramp. Let us know how it sounds when you run it through a bass cab.
The only way to know is to try it out. I would expect it to sound pretty good with that pedal, but it may be too noisy to use at lower levels.
The Yorkville factory is just up the road from where I live. I pass it quite regularly. Email them and I think they could probably set you up with a service manual for that amp.
Yorkville is the parent company that owns Long and McQuade and the Traynor brand.
