Put together my first rig since 2013, probably don't 'need' this much, but it's TB so who cares!
Power supplied by Mesa/Boogie and their infamous (that means MORE than famous) Carbine M6. I previously had the M9 that I used for years before I took a hiatus from playing, but didn't need the EQ and onboard Comp., even though both are great. The 4-way Voice option is so good. I may need to get a TRS footswitch for these things, they all sound so good in the right format. Found a nearly NOS version here in the Classifieds, forgot how crazy loud they get, even when set on "Active" input. In love all over again.
Speakers supplied by Bergantino. Thought about going the Mesa Subway route, but I wanted a lightweight 212, and finding a Subway 212 secondhand was difficult to obtain, and I found a local Member with a CN212 for sale in great condition, jumped on it.
Just in my office with my Lakland 55-94 (which is for sale, btw, see link below) this thing sounds HUGE. It has that quick, immediate attack that we all know and love in the Carbine- whatever voicing it inherently has to get that perceived tone is just magic. agedhorse commented recently why the Carbine sounds like it does. All I know is I love it, and feels/sounds like home.
Can't wait to throw my Dingwall through it at rehearsal volumes. I've said it before and continue to do so, Mesa and Bergantino are just a fantastic match. I've just about tried it all, and for mixing brands, I think it's as good as it gets.
