So, I ordered a Walrus Audio Phoenix power supply for my pedal board and GC sends me a 230V version... I live in the U.S. :meh:

So, I decided I'm going to head over to GC after dinner and return it and have them send me a new one (they don't carry them in the local stores). I mention this to the wife and she says "Mind if I come with?"

:cautious: This is a new development.... She never wants to go to any music stores with me, but heck, I'm not one to complain about good company! "Sure!"

So, we head there and while I am returning/ reordering my PS, my wife wanders off. I didn't think much of it.

Just as I was finishing up, she came skipping back over to me. We headed out and as we got into the car and started to pull away, she said "Oh no! I forgot my sunglasses, I must have put them down while I was looking around, can you pull up to the door and I'll run in and get them?"

I pull up to the door and instead of getting out, she turns to me and plants a huge hug and kiss on me and squeals out "Happy early anniversary, baby!". I looked over her shoulder to see a GC employee carrying out a box with a new Ampeg BA-115!

:wideyed: "how..... how did... How did you know that was what I was looking for?"

"I was watching you while you were surfing bass porn (what she calls it when I check TB) last night and saw that you kept looking up the specs and prices of that amp and I wanted to buy it for you before you bought it for yourself."

THEN, while the guy is putting it in the car for me, she tells me that she's ear-marked the money for the custom order of the G&L 5 String PJ (when they finally make one!) that I've been GASing for so badly!!!! :bassist::hyper::bassist::hyper:

I am a lucky man. Thanks to whoever is watching out for me up there! :angel:

There's a pattern here: we got engaged on the 4th anniversary, and had our commitment ceremony on the 5th.

Was going to be a wedding, but we couldn't bring ourselves to do that in front of friends who weren't allowed marry. Australian law's changed since then, so we really should get around to it some day. At least picking the date will be easy.

I started out looking at something smaller like the BA108 or 110 but went for the 115 because of the additional monitor capability.

First KEEP HER HAPPY!!!!
I don't have my wife to that point yet , She keeps asking how many basses can you play at once, I told her same as the number of shoes you can wear at once (opps). But we have progressed, I sold my 67 Hofner the other day and she said, don't sell it , weren't you keeping that for an investment? (bought in 73 with Bassman 10 for $150, sold in 2018 by itself for $2500, I think the investment paid off)

I'm curious about these laws which you speak. Who fell into a category of "weren't allowed to marry", and why?

Same in our house. Wife has a sewing room upstairs with ... well, I've lost count of how many sewing machines, a computerized multi-thread embroidery machine, a serger, and who knows what else. The giant quilting machine takes up almost 1/4 of the basement, and yes, was as expensive as a new car. Then there's software and updates and ...

So, yeah, my home studio and its contents is really never an issue. She gets what she thinks she needs, and I do the same.

Keeper..for sure.Like mine..
Wifey officially ok'd a used Svt cl and Svt 810 purchase that Ive been eyeballing for over a week a cpl days ago.Sounds great.Yes she has boat loads of knitting stuff yarn etc.Knew her 3 months before we got married just about 35 yrs ago..
