NAD

I just had my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 (V1) delivered. I'm looking forward to getting a cab that will highlight the amp. All and any suggestions, new or used, are appreciated. I will mention that I have been looking at a used DB210.
DB210 is an excellent cabinet if not on the heavy side by today's standards.
I used a DB210 with a LittleMark lll for years until I no longer wanted to carry it, but I'm older. If you're young and healthy it's a fine choice.

My favorite cab with that head is the Berg CN212. The CN series is a tad less present/focused in the deep lows and complements the TH head very nicely. That said, the DB cabs work very nicely with the TH heads. While I was always drawn to the GS cabs in general, their stronger emphasis on low end than the DBs along with the TH's very full bass voicing meant they weren't my favorite pairing.

Congratulations on the amp!

I checked those Berg cabs out. Unfortunately, they're out of my price range. I have come across a used DB210 for about $600 which includes tax and shipping. Another cab I'm looking at is a SVT-2x12AV 600 watt cab for $500 which is in brand new condition. The seller is local so I'll be able to check it out in person. I have had feedback about the DB210, which was good. What about your opinions on the SVT cab?

Another suggestion that's out of your price range, but I have to:
Barefaced Super Mini with cloth grille.
Why? simple:
-Looks: Both the Tonehammer and the cabinet sport a silver face and black sidewalls, striking a very fitting picture together
-Size/Weight: This combination forms a tiny little rig that is a literal one hand carry, with the cab being roughly 20lbs.
-Volume: Saying this combo strikes above it's weight class is somewhat of an understatement. I use that exact thing in an 80's metal band where the guitarist plays a 100W full stack and the drummer hits hard. I have ample headroom (they ask me to turn down on occasion).

So while this thing seems expensive at first, you will have to compare it to two 112 cabinets of most of the competition. I tried it against an Aguilar GS212 in an A/B test and at top volume, the aggie started showing sweat, with the lows not keeping up with the treble and mids any more while the Super Mini had some headroom left. When you compare it for what it can do instead of for what it is, it's actually quite cheap.

If you have to, you have to! Ha!!!
I'll give your suggestion a look. Thanks.
