took atrip to the shop yesterday and tried a load of amps from ss to all valve beasts!

and found a gem!

i tried a svt-cl, wallace 100w all valve, trace elliot ah600-7, gk 700rb II, the new to me anyway eden navigator 1000 and a few others...

all thru an ampeg 810e, but this amp blew them all out of the water!

made the svt just look silly!

and my god! how loud!

gonna take some photos at practice in a bit so heres a teaser can anyone guess?

an aguilar Db750! sadly was so caught up with how good it was sounding at practice i forgot to take fotos!

tell about it! blew the guitarist away as with the pro-6 he was comfortable louder! and the peg had nothing more to give! but with the 750 under a quarter on the master and at about 3/4 on the gain! was just brutal! so loud turned it up to half on the master and it was so loud!!!! basically i never have to worry about headroom! or being loud enough!

im running it thru a 610hlf ampeg cab, really can't see me needing anymore than that! although i am gonna pic up a couple of 210 cabs for using at smaller places.

This is why I went from a USA SVT-4 Pro to an Aguilar DB750. Either Ampeg is exaggerating or Aguilar's wattage is super conservative!!

indeed! i dnt see how anyone would need to use it above half? and im only using it with a single 4 ohm cab! must be silly with a 2 ohm output!
