Think about all the people in the world. Not even all English-speaking people will like the same band, let alone other cultures.

For perspective, a real-life rock-star told me he enjoyed vacationing in Asia, because people didn't recognize him as often as they did at home or in other Western countries.

I had a prof in engineering school who hated The Beatles. Do-Wop and 50’s music, especially girl bands and songs like “Leader of the Pack” where his favorite type of music, and rightly or wrongly he blamed The Beatles for the demise of that kind of music.

There is no band that everyone likes.

Spice Girls wouldn't, couldn't shouldn't be ANYONES favourite band. A perfect example of a famous person taking 5 people off the street and conning the world. There should have been criminal charges for impersonating a musician, or taking money by deception or anything to jail them and keep them away from society.

Jimmy Buffet and Bob Seger are the ones that goes over anywhere we play.

The country music crowds tend to not like the Beatles... it's weird with the modern country crowd liking the Aerosmith, Poison and Motley Crue songs we do, yet Beatles tunes fall flat unless we are playing a more rock oriented club, then it goes over well.
I would like to do some more of their songs but we play too may
country dance halls.

I would think there may be bands that appeal to more folks, but not "everyone," which I think is what you are really talking about.

Worldwide ABBA was like some mega group, but nothing I ever cared to listen to.
