My wife despises any music with Hammond organ in it. Someone somewhere will find a way to dislike anything.

And I know plenty of people who dislike rock music in general, and even more so Classic Rock, so most of these suggestions don't really cut it IMHO.

Not a band but Beethoven & Mozart is my answer. Even someone who has never heard music before would instantly enjoy some tunes from these guys. Of course there are many classical masters but as it gets more complex, likeability decreases because most people are idiots and reject what they don't easily understand straight away. So, you can say that the general rejection rate of all things should be higher than %99.99. lol

Yup. I grew up on Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Black Sabbath. I don't need no stinkin' horns!

The only thing worse than horns is the Beach Boys and the Bee Gees with those sickeningly sweet harmonies.

I always felt like Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers were a band that had a wide appeal.

Unpopular opinion: I'm not saying I don't like Tom Petty, but I always thought his voice sounded a bit like Barney... I'll show myself out.

I did t know this was cover when Kiss did it. Both great version but the bass playing is better in the original by a long shot.

Since i never liked KISS for their teenie stomper masquerade and their brute force rock'n'rolling, i never listened their version of the song. I am a very longtime fan of Argent and there's imo few musicians and bands that could adequately cover their songs ... on which i do not count KISS as first choice.
