I've never seen these before. They're very cool. Especially the one with the rainbow glitter.
Clunky? My MIM Fender 5 string Jazz Bass. Clunky body, clunky neck and at 10.5 pounds it's like having a cinder block strapped around your neck. Tried and tried but always felt like I was fighting to play that bass. It is a great bass, just not the one for me. Bought an Ibanez SR505. All around much better.

I'm not sure about clunky, but that bass answers the question "How do I design an instrument for maximum neck dive?"
Never was a fan of the Vox teardrop, but the Phantom 
So far, in no particular order, I like the Ovation Magnum, the Gretsch Bo Diddley-design, katana-necked Yamaha (no neck-dive as it's got a shaved down headstock), the Italias are all nice, Ibanez Jet King, Gibson non-reverse firebird, oh yeah the Mosrite!, BC Rich Mockingbird I must admit to liking too, Charvel Surfcaster looks a lot like a Reverend, and of course loads of love for Dark Horse's Hobocaster.
Perhaps also check out the Eastwood Airline, Airline Map and EUB-1.

Ah, the RD Artist...so very rock and roll. It's fun to watch someone bash one around too, like in this video.

You should consider chambering that body and getting some Ultralight tuners; we all know that Thunderbirds are famous for the neck dive, and a double-neck one would neck dive more than a Warwick Thumb with a 20 pounds weight attached to the headstock.
