Awesome - I'm aware of it. So, it sounds like you don't have it anymore? :(

Nope, don't have it anymore. Traded it off for some MIJ Les Paul Gold-top knock-off a couple years later. LPs were all the rage at the time and I couldn't afford a real Gibson.

The Firefly was an interesting guitar. Guitarist Vincent Bell was heavily involved in its design and marketing, as was the case with Coral's electric "Sitar". The pick guard, missing in the guitar in my PIC (above) was emblazoned with his signature. Despite looking vaguely like a 335, the Firefly sounded more like a Telecaster, probably partly because of the "lipstick" pickups and stock, brass nut.

Brass nut? My Coral Deluxe bass has an aluminum nut, like all Dano's.

I'm looking at the back of that peg head and the V shape and I'm going to try Dean.
Bingo!

Dean USA Custom Shop Deceiver Bass.
Based on their Deceiver Guitar.
I knew I should've cropped that photo a little more.
Missed out on this a few years ago. Seller dropped the price twice and I was waiting for a third time. Instead the seller decided not to sell it.
Even has a volute at the bottom of the headstock.
