At probably $2k street. I somehow doubt it. Which I am sure is why they are custom order. They probably don't ever expect to sell a lot of them. But it makes for good press and helps sell their other products. Looks like a cool amp.

Yeah, if that's the price they'll handicap sales.....if they priced it at 1200 or less I believe they'd move 'em.

Behringer has a new line of analog mixers that you can slide an iPad into. They include Klark Teknik FX.

That looks pretty interesting; the XENYX preamp-based stuff is about all I would touch of Behringer's offerings to date.

I just hope they're not the first to make an iPad-based bass amp ...

At least they tech 21 is attempting to listen after the whole debate about their amps wattage. Personally I'll stick w/ their pedals live and rack pre for my studio. hope this does well for them . . .

orange or ashdown do ok this year?

I found this on Orange for guitars - it'd be GREAT if they came out w/ a small(er) lower watt tube bass head (one can dream)

I'm sure they would be expensive but I don't see why. You already have the VT, expand it some, and you already have cheap, light, big power amps. Put 'em both in a box.....done.

The DNA Helix amp:

1200 Watts, 7 lbs. It has expanded compressor controls, but fixed frequency mid EQ - which Mr. Nordschow said were set at 250Hz (low mid) and 2kHz (hi mid).

The push-buttons have surrounding LEDs, which are green when engaged, and red when disengaged.

Expected street price: ~$1,400.

Yeah, those struck me as odd, too... but what really surprised me is that he didn't include sweepable mids - seems such a strong selling point for the old WT800.

orange or ashdown do ok this year?

i seen pics of ashdowns bit compered to last year it didnt look as good.
plus i wanna know if orange ever made a cab for there 5000 watt head they did last year

Orange had a massive display like last year. I didn't spend much time there but didn't notice anything new.

Ashdown had a small booth but some really cool looking amps and cabs. Made we want to buy them just looking at them!

sweetwater sound site, has posted pix of ALL the new namm gear. thats how i heard of the above. .... forgot to mention new mxr bass fuzz..... it has level for clean, and a level for dirty. so u can mix the two how you like.

Yeah they will!. If they sell for around $800. Thats what it's worth. The price on the 1969 was ********. Yeah, I just said that. Im glad that they are looking in the right directiong now.

I don't know if it's identical circuit-wise. I do know it's a 100w amp at 8 ohms instead of 150w at 8 like the Micro VR, but it's non-expandable, so I imagine it's a different amp.
