This is why we can't have nice things, Ivan ;-) Accecptable answers were: A big building The same place as ${year} A very special place. Etc. etc. But nooooooo. You had to go and be "helpful". :-D
I'll be there Friday. I hope they have more then the 6 left handed bases I found at the entire show last year. Rickenbacker=0 Fender=0
Finally a topic about NAMM I was a bit surprised that nobody was talking about it or posting photos - in the previous years ppl used to get pretty excited about it
Attended the Fender press reception at NAMM. Played (unamplified, unfortunately) the new Fender 63 and 64 and 74 JBs. Nice feel (big retro necks, of course, but very playable). I don't think anyone's gonna be disappointed. Also, the Roadworn series (J and P) are back, despite speculation that Fender was phasing them out. Oh, also played a new Guild Starfire--pretty nice tone and good neck.
I'm going for my first time...leaving in the morning. I'm opening tonight for the Jeff Sipe Trio with my fusion trio, Shawingato, then leaving bright and early.
Six left-handed basses in one place? Such luxury!* *Technically my apartment is only one short of that total, but I don't think I've ever seen more than 3 or 4 at a store. Hooray for lefties...
Just saw this press release pop-up on MusicRadar, Ampeg announces 800w PF head and special edition B15n........read it here! http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/namm-2013-ampeg-expands-heritage-series-570043
If they're there, please somebody post pictures of the rumored, new Korean Guild Starfire bass I reissues!!! I'm dying to hear more about these.
