I'm going, for the first time. Driving down from San Jose on Thursday will be staying at the Hilton and driving home on Sunday.
I'll be there some very seasoned "veterans" but they are guitarists. If there's anything not to be missed Bass-wise I'd love to hear about it

I suggest we meet at 3 at the GHS booth. @TonyP- is playing, and @Jon Moody and @andysvec will be there.
Finally, I'm going! to NAMM (Nation Association of Music Merchants) Sat. 1.18.20 and probably Sunday too. I've been trying for years to get in but some how it never worked out.
My daughter has a press pass as a photographer for Nothing Magazine (An L.A. Music Webzine) she got me registered and I be a-goin'.
She gets in to most any concert or event she wants. Guess I raised her well, tried to interest her in bass but photography is her passion and she's only 20 y.o. that's the proud dad speaking) Yes, I know it's probably pretty simple to get a badge but all the times I tried, it failed in the past.
Will post photos after my attendance.
Obviously, I'll be hanging at the basses and bass amp section. Hope to meet a few known players and/or other TalkBass members.

Heh...probably beats having them ask you if you're Passinwind! And it's always nice to see you there.
I did actually have someone from overseas come up and ask me where I got my Passinwind Electronics shirt. I told him very seriously that it was a trade secret and it took him several seconds to catch on and call me on it. Good times.
oh man, i wish i woulda seen this before i went!! was there for the run! WOW!! still reeling... went through the nonprofit sector (exec. director of a free afterschool music program) every bit of NAMM was amazing. I think I did see a couple of you there, now looking at your pics. tonyp for sure... met victor wooten, richard bona, others.. Brian Hardgroove (public enemy) who is going to hopefully do something with me for the school.. people were very chill, especially for 110,000 of them all in one event.
